Gonzo ~ You Are Not Alone!

Well in an effort to find the elusive
Lavender English Orphingtons local,
we have acquired this colorful flock.
5 pullets, 1 bantam, & one prize (Gonzo)unknown
+ Butterscotch.

1 Mahogany Rhode Island Red
1 Barred Rock
1 Wyandotte
2 We will sees
1 Polish crested

are our new baby chicks purchased on May 16th, 2014 as
1 week approximately old chicks.

Here are some pics from when they came home.

Sarafina the Mahogany Rhode Island Red

Sophira the Barred Rock

Alice the Silver laced Wyandotte

Scar (Or Scarlett) as time will tell The Polish bantam

I picked out 2 almost twin chicks that came in the Golden Comet box but were clearly not golden
We are looking forward to seeing what breed Sarah & Kayce turn out to be.

So we're a little chicken poor right now,
in about 3 months at least
Butterscotch should be laying eggs.
(We'll Update this weekend too)

Fun fact I learned just today:
Do not feed chickens Corn on hot days
it raises their body temps.

I really need to get new photos this weekend as the chicks have
grown quite a lot.
